Motor-vehicle accidents are one of the leading causes of death in the U.S. there had been 109,962 crashes in 2019 in Washington, resulting in 503 fatalities, according to the WSDOT. This is a staggering number, an equivalent of a commercial airliner plunging from the sky with no survivors twice a year, and that repeats year after year. On a more upbeat note, in over 77,000 crashes in 2019, no injuries were reported.
